Procurement Officer - Drive Strategic Sourcing & Sustainability in Water Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Activity
- Lead sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value through strategic sourcing
- Draft, review, and manage contracts and SLAs
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet procurement needs
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance
- Conduct commercial evaluations and maintain procurement documentation
SAP System & Process Support
- Create and manage purchase orders and vendor data in SAP
- Provide daily support for procurement system issues and user training
Reporting & Governance
- Generate procurement and spend reports using Power BI
- Maintain accurate records aligned with compliance requirements
Fleet & Travel Management
- Coordinate vehicle leases, servicing, and returns
- Manage travel services and support supplier negotiations
Contract & Indirect Spend Oversight
- Oversee contracts for facility services and liaise with service providers
- Manage contract renewals and ensure service continuity
Communication & Collaboration
- Engage with internal teams and external suppliers
- Participate in procurement meetings and improvement initiatives
Safety, Health and Environment
- Comply with WHS and environmental policies
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years' experience in procurement, particularly indirect spend
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficient in SAP MM module (SAP S4HANA)
- Confident, self-motivated, and solutions-focused
- Commercial acumen, especially in water utilities and infrastructure
- Team player with the ability to thrive in flexible environments
- Understanding of WHS, environmental, and quality management systems
- Experience with Power BI reporting is highly regarded
