Procurement Officer - Drive Strategic Sourcing & Sustainability in Water Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Activity

• Lead sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value through strategic sourcing
• Draft, review, and manage contracts and SLAs
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet procurement needs
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance
• Conduct commercial evaluations and maintain procurement documentation

SAP System & Process Support

• Create and manage purchase orders and vendor data in SAP
• Provide daily support for procurement system issues and user training

Reporting & Governance

• Generate procurement and spend reports using Power BI
• Maintain accurate records aligned with compliance requirements

Fleet & Travel Management

• Coordinate vehicle leases, servicing, and returns
• Manage travel services and support supplier negotiations

Contract & Indirect Spend Oversight

• Oversee contracts for facility services and liaise with service providers
• Manage contract renewals and ensure service continuity

Communication & Collaboration

• Engage with internal teams and external suppliers
• Participate in procurement meetings and improvement initiatives

Safety, Health and Environment

• Comply with WHS and environmental policies
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 3-5 years' experience in procurement, particularly indirect spend
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficient in SAP MM module (SAP S4HANA)
• Confident, self-motivated, and solutions-focused
• Commercial acumen, especially in water utilities and infrastructure
• Team player with the ability to thrive in flexible environments
• Understanding of WHS, environmental, and quality management systems
• Experience with Power BI reporting is highly regarded
