APS 6 level Service Designer

What you'll be doing
As an APS6 level Service Designer, you'll work in agile, cross-functional teams to research, design, and improve services based on user needs.
You'll be part of a team that translates insights into actionable solutions that deliver better outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research
• Develop personas, journey maps, and service blueprints
• Facilitate co-design sessions and workshops
• Synthesise research insights to support service improvements
• Support change impact assessments and user testing
• Create design artefacts using tools like Figma, Miro, and Mural
• Provide project and administrative support (JIRA tracking, content editing, meeting coordination)

What we're looking for
Essential:

• Experience in service design or user experience roles
• Strong human-centred design skills and creative problem-solving
• Proficiency with research methods, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder engagement
• Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and visualisation skills
• Strong organisational and documentation capabilities

Desirable:

• Experience in the disability, health, or social services sectors
• Knowledge of Jira, SharePoint and agile project tools
• Familiarity with the Digital Service Standard

Eligibility

• You must be an Australian Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Criminal History Check and a Worker Screening Check is required
