What you'll be doing
As an APS6 level Service Designer, you'll work in agile, cross-functional teams to research, design, and improve services based on user needs.
You'll be part of a team that translates insights into actionable solutions that deliver better outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research
- Develop personas, journey maps, and service blueprints
- Facilitate co-design sessions and workshops
- Synthesise research insights to support service improvements
- Support change impact assessments and user testing
- Create design artefacts using tools like Figma, Miro, and Mural
- Provide project and administrative support (JIRA tracking, content editing, meeting coordination)
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Experience in service design or user experience roles
- Strong human-centred design skills and creative problem-solving
- Proficiency with research methods, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder engagement
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and visualisation skills
- Strong organisational and documentation capabilities
Desirable:
- Experience in the disability, health, or social services sectors
- Knowledge of Jira, SharePoint and agile project tools
- Familiarity with the Digital Service Standard
Eligibility
- You must be an Australian Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Criminal History Check and a Worker Screening Check is required
