National Sales Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic National Sales Manager to lead sales operations across Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, and PNG. This is an exciting opportunity to drive strategic growth, manage a high-performing sales team, and make a significant impact within the industrial tools and equipment sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct national market and technology research to identify trends and opportunities.
Formulate and implement strategies for sales growth across multiple regions.
Monitor and develop distribution channels, analyzing performance and identifying improvements.
Plan, launch, and manage new products, ensuring successful market implementation.
Oversee Sales, Advertising, and Agent Departments, managing budgets and departmental expenditures.
Recruit, train, motivate, and manage sales staff in line with company policies and employment laws.
Retain and develop product knowledge, techniques, and sales skills across the team.
Plan and manage sales growth across Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, and PNG, including oversight of Area/Sales Managers.
Implement regional sales and marketing strategies, monitor market activity, and provide regular reports.
Manage responses to sales inquiries and conduct product training for distributors and end users.
Plan and execute marketing activities, including trade shows, demonstrations, and promotions.
Develop and maintain customer, end-user, and competitor data.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety standards.
Negotiate trading terms and conditions with customers to maximize business outcomes.
Establish and deliver national training programs for schools and TAFEs.
Perform other duties as requested by the Director.
Requirements:
Proven experience in sales management, ideally within industrial tools or equipment sectors.
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strong strategic, analytical, and leadership skills.
Excellent understanding of sales, marketing, and distribution channels.
Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
