A South Australia Government Department's Office of the Chief Executive is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for the position of Senior Ministerial Officer (ASO5 Level). As a Senior Ministerial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the effective coordination and review of key documents within the Office of the Chief Executive, facilitating seamless liaison between ministerial offices and across the agency.
Role Overview: Reporting to the Manager, Government Services, and working closely with the Ministerial and Briefings Coordinator, the Senior Ministerial Officer will be responsible for managing a diverse range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Coordination and review of Parliament and Cabinet related documentation
- Preparation of Ministerial and briefing papers
- Handling Committee and Inter-Government reporting
- Providing specialized expert advice as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently managing competing demands in a fast-paced environment
- Providing high-level administrative support to senior management
- Contributing to the ongoing management and review of all ministerial and Parliament and Cabinet correspondence
- Coordinating investigations and preparing reports on complex matters
- Proficiently using Microsoft Office suite and other business applications
- Demonstrating tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive issues
Special Conditions:
- National Police Check (NPC) required prior to employment
- Some out of hours and weekend work may be required
- Some intra/interstate travel may be required
Technical Capabilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business applications
- Experience and understanding of Parliament and cabinet processes
- Experience in drafting and coordinating briefings, reports, Ministerial and Parliamentary correspondence and submissions
