Are you a qualified civil engineer with a passion for road safety, traffic operations, and making a visible difference in Queensland communities? A Queensland State Government agency is seeking an experienced and driven Engineer (Civil) to support the delivery of critical traffic engineering and safety initiatives across one of the state's fastest-growing regions. Based in Nerang, this hands-on role offers the chance to contribute to projects that improve road conditions, reduce congestion, and save lives.

About the Role:
Working under the supervision of a Principal Engineer, you'll provide technical input into road safety investigations and traffic engineering solutions across the state-controlled road network. You'll contribute to major safety programs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex traffic issues, and is committed to public safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyse traffic and road safety issues to identify effective solutions.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the Road Safety Minor Works program.
- Assist in preparing project proposals for state and national road safety initiatives.
- Provide technical advice on signage, line marking, and traffic operations.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and responses to public and Ministerial enquiries.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, legislation, and road safety guidelines.
- Other duties as required.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must have full working rights
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited under the Washington Accord or assessed equivalent.
- Current Class C driver's licence.
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
- Ability to supply suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Willingness to undergo a criminal history screening.
