Are you a qualified civil engineer with a passion for road safety, traffic operations, and making a visible difference in Queensland communities? A Queensland State Government agency is seeking an experienced and driven Engineer (Civil) to support the delivery of critical traffic engineering and safety initiatives across one of the state's fastest-growing regions. Based in Nerang, this hands-on role offers the chance to contribute to projects that improve road conditions, reduce congestion, and save lives.

• Rate: PO3 Equivalent + Superannuation

About the Role:
Working under the supervision of a Principal Engineer, you'll provide technical input into road safety investigations and traffic engineering solutions across the state-controlled road network. You'll contribute to major safety programs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex traffic issues, and is committed to public safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and analyse traffic and road safety issues to identify effective solutions.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of the Road Safety Minor Works program.
• Assist in preparing project proposals for state and national road safety initiatives.
• Provide technical advice on signage, line marking, and traffic operations.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and responses to public and Ministerial enquiries.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, legislation, and road safety guidelines.
• Other duties as required.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must have full working rights
• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited under the Washington Accord or assessed equivalent.
• Current Class C driver's licence.
• Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
• Ability to supply suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Willingness to undergo a criminal history screening.
