Enforcement and Compliance Officer
Location: Melbourne
Work Type: Temporary
- Conduct investigations into planning and compliance matters
- Enforce relevant legislation, regulations, and local laws
- Liaise with stakeholders including members of the public, internal teams, and external agencies
- Prepare reports, evidence, and documentation for enforcement actions
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records
- Support broader enforcement and regulatory objectives of the team
Suitable Backgrounds:
Band 5 candidates (general investigations experience):
- Local Laws
- Animal Management
- Environmental Health
- Government investigations (local/state/federal)
Band 6 candidates (specialist planning-related experience):
- Planning Compliance
- Town Planning
- Arboriculture
- Police investigations (may be considered)
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in compliance, enforcement, or investigative roles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Relevant qualifications or certifications preferred
