Collections Officer

HOBAN is seeking a Collections Officer to join our clients' team in located in Wetherill Park, NSW. Our client is a global leader in motor products and provides innovative and competitive finance solutions tailored to its customers, supporting the purchase of motorcycles, marine products, and power equipment. As part of a dynamic and growing financial services team, you'll be helping to deliver customer-focused solutions while maintaining high standards of integrity and excellence.
Shift Time: 9am-5pm
Duties of the role:
- Assist in the maintenance and administration of accounts receivable portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consumers via inbound and outbound communication channels.
- Maintain accurate account records based on communication with customers.
- Negotiate payment plans with customers.
- Successfully provide quality resolution of disputed accounts
- Adhere to industry good practice, legislative compliance and quality customer service principles.
- Prepare and despatch arrears notices to customers in a timely manner.
- Administer and alter direct debit runs of loan accounts.
- Prepare and monitor variations for loan accounts in arrears.
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with the companies policy.
- Assist customers in rectifying discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with all customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with NCCP, Privacy Act, Trade Practices Act as well as company policies and procedures.
About You:
- Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related financial services role
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Knowledge of consumer credit products and relevant regulatory frameworks (NCCP, ASIC, Privacy)
- High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with collections or CRM software
- A customer-first mindset with the ability to balance empathy and assertiveness
